There’s a lot of talk about donor retention.
But do you really know why it’s important and how to track it? Do you know how greater donor retention will bring in new donors?
In today’s video, I sat down with Jay Love from Bloomerang. Jay walks you through some of the first steps you need to take to start tracking your donor retention. He’ll also share how, when done properly, you will be able to bring in new donors to your organization.
This video is part of a longer interview I did with Jay at the Bloomerang offices. If you need new software to manage your donor records, please check out what Bloomerang has to offer. I can’t recommend them enough. Plus they are super great people. Visit the Bloomerang website by clicking here.
Bloomerang is also a sponsor at this year’s Nonprofit Storytelling Conference.
Do you have any tips around how to better retain donors? If so, please share them in a comment box below the video. Thanks.

Thanks Chris – I love when Jay says (with reference to getting an email from a non-profit against getting an email from a good friend) ” We trust key people in our lives”.
