How’d you like a few tips and examples of how to keep sponsors from year to year?
Let me introduce you to Shanon Doolittle. She’s an event fundraiser and gets sponsors to continually underwrite her events.
In today’s movie, you’ll hear what she does to ensure corporate sponsors keep writing her those checks year after year…(sometimes what she does includes an ice cream truck!)
Get a pad and jot down the ideas you get from watching this week’s movie.
Come meet Shanon at this year’s Nonprofit Storytelling Conference.

Very interesting. Worth a watch. We are putting on our first gala event so some very worthwhile pointers in regards to handling corporate sponsors.
Thank you so much for practical, easy to implement, and well-thought out ideas for corporate stewardship. I also wonder if it would be beneficial to invite one or two corporations with whom you’ve been developing a relationship (who are not yet donors) to the networking/thank you reception mentioned in the video.
Very helpful because it offered a more detailed plan rather than generalities, thank you!
Interesting and helpful tips. Easy to apply or adapt. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your experiences Shanon – good stuff! At the Corporate Giving Network (corporategn.com) we’ve found that there’s a strong correlation between having the sponsor come back year after year and showing them the ROI of their investment. It’s the topic of our May 13 learning@lunch session.

Wonderful reminders of how important stewardship of our sponsors is…all year long! Thanks for this. I’m forwarding it to my development committee and board members. 🙂
