This is great. Just a reminder that a major gift does not always have to be defined by how large the amount. Some of your royal donors small amount donors require these seven to keep them engaged in your work.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing, Jeff and Chris. The only thing I would add is to use a gift range calculator to help set your revenue goals. I use the one at Blackbaud.com
Very helpful – We are a long way from having a ‘real’ major gifts program, but now I have a roadmap. Thanks –
Great principle centered information. We have all these in place, but very important to follow through with every donor. The accountable peice is huge, it is so easy to get side tracked on the many other activities that can hi-jack our day. I really enjoyed the confirmation within the information. Thanks
Jeff
Very well-presented. I’ve never heard it quite articulated in this way but it makes total sense. I intend to share with other colleagues.
Gratefully yours,
Craig Stewart
Thank you very much! I will write a blogarticle to this video and reinforce pillar # 7! I like the video and Jeff. Thanks for your support, Christopher. Alexandra Ripken, Germany
This is so great… I appreciate all of your blog posts, but it is nice to see you speak. Keep up the great info!
Awesome presentation, thank you! Really lays it out and clarifies what we need to do and why.
The qualifying point is so crucial for success. Thank you.
Great steps and easy to share with team. Looking forward to meeting you at conference in November.
Thank you, Jeff. I appreciate all the points. So helpful! I’ve never written a letter to “qualify” donors, but am interested in what this might look like. Do you have a sample letter you could share?
