Episode #211
Could your donors give more to you?
In today’s episode, Deidre McCormack Martin talks about her role as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization (Summer Search Seattle) as it pertains to fundraising and talking with donors.
She, along with her board, decided to ask their loyal donors to increase their gifts. In today’s video, you’ll learn what they did to get donors to make larger investments in the organization. Deidre also tells a story of when she asked a couple for much more than they were already giving. I had to laugh when she told the story because there’s a very real moment at the end of her conversation with the donors that I think we can all relate to. 🙂

It’s cool to see how to do that. I always imagine doing that – asking for larger amounts. Watching her talk about how gives me more courage. A good example is always great!

I love your passion and the fact that you see fundraising as your major focus. Any organization serious about raising money needs to have the CEO spending at least 50 % of his/her time in conversation with donors!
