Episode #99
Do you have board members who shy away from fundraising?
In this week’s movie, Janet Boguch from Non-Profit Works shares how she’s able to get board members to be engaged and have fun in the fundraising process.
Unlike most of the movies on Mondays, this one is a bit long. It’s about 10 minutes. At the end of the video, Janet describes a little exercise she does with boards. I think you’ll find it helpful.
If you have any stories or advice around helping board members have fun with fundraising, please share it with everyone else. Leave a comment under the video. Thanks.

Enjoyed listening to the 6 R’s and great ways to engage board members more actively in the fundraising. It is so true that the ASK is really only a small part. I would like to use the 6 R’s and the technique of the cards for our next upcoming board meeting.
We had one of our board members last year together with a close business associate of his (who is also a supporter of our Foundation), organize an awareness event in his garden. They sent all the invitations, provided the food, spoke on our behalf, etc and they had fun doing it. Their efforts paved the way for building new relations and some of the people present that evening are now solid supporters and friends..
